Information for military police and out of state officers
If you are a certified law enforcement officer from another state or a military police officer, you may be eligible for the equivalency training to become certified in Florida. This is usually a 1-2 week proficiency training course.
Once you are enrolled, you may apply online to be a Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff's Office when the positions are open. If you are selected for processing, we will do our best to schedule your processing around your trips to Florida.
