Current topic
Our current edition showcases Orange County Sheriff's Office recruits undergoing
training at the Criminal Justice Institute at Valencia Community College. We follow the recruits as they begin the process of learning what it takes to become a deputy. In the show we see the long class sessions, the strikes, the kicks, the long runs, and discipline it takes to be successful.
We interview Lt. Dennis Durden, recruits Tierney Bell, Wendy Fernandez, John Bellochi and others, and talk about the ups and downs of making it through. We also speak with Undersheriff Rey Rivero about the value of a well trained new recruit.
Last but not least, we feature an Orange County Sheriff's Office employee we are very proud of, Sex Crimes Detective Michael Seagraves. Detective Seagraves is a reserve in the U.S. Army and was recently awarded the Bronze Star with Valor for heroism while serving in Iraq. His story was seen around the world on CNN and now on “To Serve and Protect.”
