National Night Out

October 1st, 2024

The 41st Annual National Night Out celebration is to be on October 1, 2024. Registration will open on June 03, 2024 and the last day to register for National Night Out will be on Friday, September 25, 2024.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is excited to continue to bring communities together and raise awareness on crime prevention.  Please remember to register so you can be part of our Informational Meeting on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Orange County Multi-Cultural Center, 7149 West Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida 32818.  We will have vendors, giveaways and you will be able to pick-up your Block Party supplies on this day too.  We are excited to ‘Meet * Connect * Unite’.

Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, and more! NNO is celebrated by over 38 million neighbors across 16 thousand communities from all 50 states.

National Night Out

Since 1984, communities in the United States have been coming together each year with law enforcement to raise awareness on crime prevention.

"National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas and select areas celebrate on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more." This year, the Orange County Sheriff's Office is planning another spectacular program and activities to recognize the 41st Annual National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, October 01, 2024.
